Crosslinking Coagents
Formulators know that choosing the right crosslinking coagent is critical to enabling optimal peroxide curing of elastomers.
To help address this challenge Sartomer developed Saret® (meth)acrylate coagents.
High performance rubber coagents
These high-performance functional additives are used to enhance the processability, cure kinetics, and mechanical and dynamic properties of peroxide-cured elastomer, thermoplastic, and thermoplastic elastomer compounds. Saret coagents behave as plasticizers to improve elastomer compound processing by crosslinking into the polymer and becoming part of the network.
They offer performance property improvements over
sulfur-cured and peroxide-only-cured systems.
Saret coagents are available as proprietary
mixtures with radical-scavenging retarders that
provide prolonged scorch safety, while maintaining
cure rate and increasing crosslink density.
Saret crosslinking coagents allow formulators to achieve:
- Higher cure rate to optimize productivity
- Greater state of cure to maximize the compound final performance
- Better scorch safety
- Improved hardness and compression set
Sartomer can assist you with the selection of the most effective Saret coagents to meet your application challenges.
