Peroxide Curing

Crosslinking Coagents for High-Performance Elastomer and Rubber Applications

Sartomer manufactures a complete line of liquid Saret® methacrylate crosslinking coagents for high-performance elastomer applications. The line includes a number of liquid coagents with varying acrylic functionality for use in peroxide cure of elastomers. Peroxide cure alone, however, is inferior to sulfur vulcanization in heat-aged performance. The synergistic use of crosslinking coagents with the peroxide overcomes these deficiencies, while maintaining performance. With proper coagent selection improvements in final properties can be realized.

These products are compatible with a variety of elastomers, including EPDM, NBR, CPE and PE. Sartomer technical representatives can help you make decisions about the proper rubber coagents for your peroxide cure formulations and can assist with product selection based on your product/process performance requirements.
